Continuing the Linde Heavy Truck business plan announced last year which in-cludes the replacement and expansion of its product range, Linde Heavy Truck Division, subsidiary of the Linde Material Handling Group, is proud to announce a newly designed, general purpose, counterbalance forklift truck range.
Building upon its already established sister product range from 10 to 18 tonnes, the new 1402 series has already gained steady prominence in the market with customers around the world.
The new 1402 range of general purpose forklift trucks, which began full production series in September, includes the following standard rated capacities at 1200mm load centres:
Model range: 18.0t, 20.0t, 22.0t, 25.0t, 28.0t, 30.0t and 32.0t
-
All products in the 1402 range are powered by Cummins diesel engines which comply with current stage 3a emission standards and are of varying power output in relation to capacity requirements. The power unit is coupled to the Dana-Clark electronic transmission, type TE17, 3-speed unit; providing output torque through to the Kessler final drive axle unit.
The load mast and carriage system have also been developed from the estab-lished dual-purpose compact load and container handling design of the sister se-ries. Specifically designed to handle the stresses present in long-load handling, this general purpose, versatile machine, can also be fitted with a wide range of functional attachments.
The cabin has been adopted, in the main, from the trucks in the sister series and provides exceptional forward free-sight through the mast to the load and also around the machine; thus contributing to the ease of manoeuvrability of the truck. For detailed service, the cabin tilts to the side and an engine hood opens to the rear to provide unhindered access to the power train and hydraulic components.
-
A key feature of the 1402 range is the integrated service compartment where all main service parts can be checked and changed from a centrally located service bay and which includes:
- Engine oil and transmission oil filler tubes.
- Engine oil filter, fuel filter and fuel pre-filter
- Air filter
- Batteries
- Screen washer bottle
- Cabin tilt, electric switch and mechanical hand pump
- Main system fuses
At the base of the compartment, valves are mounted to facilitate the remote drainage of engine and transmission oils. A drain sump is located under the chassis.
Note: Fluid levels are monitored by electronic level switches and reported through the CanBus management system for display on the in-cab screen.
All systems, including the Linde variable displacement hydraulic system, are controlled and monitored through the integrated CanBus control system provided by Parker and programmed by Linde. The main screen is positioned at the foot of the windscreen and facilitates the display for all key functions of the machine whilst simultaneously monitoring all systems. This also provides the service team with direct access to the machine for historic operational data and changes or adjust-ments of the machines controls.
The overall styling of the machine has been created specifically with the operator in mind and provides not only a comfortable working environment but also minimises typical operational stresses associated with long operational hours.
