MINI STEERING
MAERSK MACHINE
The Linde C4230
TL recently delivered into the Maersk Logistic Sverige AB in Gothenburg
is equipped with a mini steering wheel fitted in the left hand armrest.
The direction control for forward and reverse is also incorporated
into the armrest allowing the driver to manage the direction and
movement of the machine with his left hand thereby freeing up the
right hand to concentrate on load control movements.
The mini steering
wheel installation includes a speed sensitive safety feature; allowing
full lock at manoeuvring speeds but progressively reducing the steering
lock at higher travel speeds to avoid inadvertent erratic movements.
The Reachstacker,
supplied by Linde's dealer in Gothenburg, Truck Teknik, is part
of a lease with full maintenance agreement incorporating other Linde
trucks ranging in capacity from two and a half up to 16 tonnes
